Some initial concept work for the Icearc project. The idea of a “helping hand”, a motorized handle which could be clipped onto the rink wall still attracts me!

My collection of models and sketchbook which accompanied my boards for the hand in. I was always quite pleased with the full scale model, although it has begun falling apart now.

Monopoly. I lost, unfortunately.

Finally.

My final presentation went really well. So that’s it now, except for the shows. My tutors think that my presentation boards need a lot of tweaking which is a bit of a kicker, but hey. I’ll repost them when I’ve finished.

I’ve also borrowed an SLR from University, so expect lots of pictures to come up soon (I love SLRs hah!).

RICANJO Coroflot portfolio.

The link to my professional Coroflot portfolio (which includes my CV and everything). I might add this in the “about” section of my blog soon.

I’m updating my account at the moment, so keep an eye out for random bits I upload!

Looking at some of my older college Art & Design work. This was for my Synaptic Project, which I based on the theme of erosion and decay; the images here show some of the sketch work that I based on grotesques and gargoyles around my local churches.

Stood next to my boards (accompanied with my new haircut), set up with my models for marking. Next up, Salford Exhibition.

So my final deadline may have finished, but I still have plenty of work to do with regards to my presentation and show preparation. Yesterday, I began planning for my presentation - I’d like to add a bit of flair to make it memorable. Someone has already suggested making an ice sculpture of my product (practically this might be quite difficult however). Any suggestions?

Final presentation boards for the 11th May submission. I’m going to make a few changes for my exhibitions, but overall, I’m pleased with the final outcome.

So close.

Nearly finished all of my presentation boards. I’ve gone for a different direction with these boards; rather than going text heavy (which is my usual route), I’ve tried to capture the essence of what needs to be said in the images and icons.

I’ve created five boards so far:

1) In-situ. This is my main board, highlighting the product in its environment.

2) Features. Fairly straightforward, this one.

3) Manufacturing. This includes methods, materials and detailing.

4) Storyboard. I’m still working on this one - it depicts the process of how the Icearc works.

5) Technical. I’m unhappy with my technical detail board, so I might change it before tomorrow. It seems a bit stuck on, as opposed to serving any sort of purpose. It’s also very similar to my general assembly (being that it’s the same images with an exploded diagram at the side).

I’ll be uploading my final boards on here soon. Ah, so close to the end of the project (and being a student)! I’ve enjoyed it.
